How To Change Input Voltage From 208 Volts To 240 Volts On A 10kVA Battery Backup Power UPS August 01 2016, 0 Comments
Before Battery Backup Power, Inc. ships any of its larger uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to customers, a BBP staff member will contact the customer to ask which input voltage they would like the UPS set to before shipping. In some instances, the UPS is moved from a location with 208 volt power to a location with 240 volt power. If this is the case, the input can be easily changed using the following instructions.

-Heat Shrink Or Electrical Tape
Step 1: Ensure that the unit is powered off. Both the input and battery breakers are in the off position, and all input/output connections are disconnected.
Step 2: Facing the unit from the front (LCD Screen) please remove the top and left side panels by removing the Philips screws.
Step 3: Locate the two connection wires highlighted by the red box (Figure 1).
Step 4: Locate the BLACK wire and cut the zip tie, then remove the heat shrink surrounding the tip. It should expose a ring terminal (Figure 2).
Step 5: Next located the following BLUE wire connection and unscrew the Philips screw connecting the ring terminal to the relay. Then remove the wire completely (Figure 3).
Step 6: Cut all necessary zip ties that are holding the BLUE wire and retie using the BLACK wire (Figure 4).
Step 7: Using the same position on the relay block please replace the connection with the BLACK wire located in Step 4 (Figure 2).
Step 8: Take the BLUE wire and cover the ring terminal connection with either heat shrink or electrical tape. Then zip tie the cable to the original position where the black cable was located in Step 4 (Figure 2).
Step 9: At this point the unit should be wired up to 220/240V input. Please reassemble the side and top panels.
