Compatibility Guarantee For Lab Instruments
Battery Backup Power, Inc. offers a compatibility guarantee on all of its UPS systems when used with laboratory instruments. The compatibility guarantee means that if the UPS doesn’t work with the instrument listed in the quote, there will be no charge for the UPS itself, delivery, or return charges. If ordered by PO, we cancel the invoice once the returned UPS is received, inspected, and log files downloaded. If ordered by credit card, we refund the order once the returned UPS is received, inspected, and log files downloaded.

To get the compatibility guarantee, the customer must contact Battery Backup Power, Inc. technical support before ordering and provide them with the instrument make/model as well as a photo of the electrical tag on the back of the instrument(s). If placing multiple instruments on a single UPS, a list with the voltage and amperage (or VA rating) from the electrical tag on each instrument must be provided along with the instrument make/model. The technical support team will then issue the quote by email rather than the sales team and list the instrument compatibility as a line item in the quote. The customer must also have the proper wall receptacle installed for the UPS to ensure the input power requirements are met. For example a 6KVA plug and play model UPS will have a NEMA L6-30P (plug, 208-240 volts, 30 amps) and a 10KVA plug and play model UPS will have a NEMA 6-50P (plug, 208-240 volts, 50 amps).

The compatibility guarantee is good for 3 months from time of purchase. The UPS must be plugged in, turned on, and used with the instrument(s) within this time period. Our technical support staff may or may not ask for photos of the instrument and UPS.
