LiFePO4 UPS In Research and Development Phase October 18 2016, 0 Comments
Battery Backup Power has begun research and development on implementing Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries into its existing UPS systems.
The current plan is to begin offering new UPS systems by the end of 2016 with the option of LiFePO4 batteries instead of lead acid batteries to greatly decrease maintenance intervals and significantly reduce weight. Existing Battery Backup Power branded UPS systems (only the double conversion models) will also be able to accept replacement LiFePO4 batteries with a minor adjustment to the charging circuit already inside the UPS.
